It’s Not About Black or White — It’s About Truth

“Jesus didn’t believe in black and white. He just saw people as people.”That’s what my sister told me recently. And on the surface, it sounds beautiful — a message of unity in a

world divided.
But the deeper I walk with God, the more I realize something important: The Bible has been whitewashed so much that many people no longer recognize what’s real.
The Truth About the Bible’s Roots
The Bible wasn’t born in Europe. It was written in the Middle East, across lands rich in African and Asian heritage. Brown-skinned people — from Abraham to Jesus — lived, walked, and worshipped under sun-soaked skies. Africa shows up again and again — in Egypt, Ethiopia, Cush, and more. Black and brown people are not side characters in God’s story. They are central to it.
And yet, the version of the Bible many of us were taught erased that.It replaced real history with pale images of Jesus, whitewashed saints, and sanitized stories.
This isn’t about skin color. It’s about truth.
Why Truth Matters
When we rediscover the truth of Scripture, we also rediscover ourselves. We reclaim what was lost — identity, heritage, authority.
We stop feeling like outsiders in the Word of God.
We stop questioning our worth in the story of salvation.
We start walking boldly in our calling.
Because when we see the Bible clearly, we start to see ourselves clearly, too.
Let’s Keep Seeking Truth Together
I know my sister is holding tight to what she was taught. But I’ve tasted the truth now — and I can’t go back.
This blog is a space for unlearning, reclaiming, and reconnecting. If you’ve ever felt erased, overlooked, or confused about where you fit in God’s Word, this is for you.
Let’s journey through the truth together.
